Magical 3 day wedding in Limburg, The Netherlands
In a city like Maastricht, you can be sure to meet the same people throughout the years. And that’s exactly the story with Alain & Valerie. Our paths intertwined long before their wedding day, from the echoes of our school days to the shared laughter at countless celebrations in the city or at weddings of their friends that I was photographing at. Capturing the big day of Alain & Valerie was a celebration of cherished connections. Their decision to entrust me with their most precious moments filled me with joy and I knew it was going to be a special day!
In the picturesque setting of Alain’s family home the wedding kicked off with a wonderful welcome party that must have caused some slight hangovers the day after! Their big day took place at the charming Hoeve Winselerhof where most guests also stayed the night to enjoy the brunch on day 3. I invite you to take a look through the story of this stunning couple.

The pre party
To kick-off the wedding madness Alain & Valerie invited their close friends and family for a proper pre-party at Alain’s family home. It was great to meet everyone in advance and a great chance to capture a few unique moments.
Blush, brush, bubbles and Mezcal
I joined Valerie for the getting ready part of the day. Whilst she got her hair and make-up done at her favorite blush and brush bar, Alain was getting ready with his bridal party at Winselerhof with the mandatory beers and Mezcal. These were bound to be good moments to capture!
Here comes the bride
Once arrived at Winselerhof, the venue looked stunning! They took great care into the decorations and preparations of the ceremony, mostly taken care of by Camiel from C-forward, a close friend. The ceremony turned out to be filled with exceptional, funny and emotional speeches which resulted in an amazing ceremony.
Bridal portraits
For the bridal portraits we made good use of the beauty of the venue. During 30 minutes we shot some great shots to get back to the busy wedding program as soon as possible.
Dance the night away
As we moved inside for the dinner, Alain & Valerie planned a great entrance to surprise the bridal party. and that wasn't the last surprise of the evening. Speeches, fireworks, drinking games, John Tana and dirty dancing followed.
